This lecture course is for nonchemistry majors. If you are a chemistry major, you should (but are not required to) take the Chem 3351/3371 series, which offers a small class and coverage in more depth. Topics in chem 3311 include structure and reactions of alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alkyl halides, and aromatic molecules; nomenclature of organic compounds; stereochemistry; reaction mechanisms and dynamics.
