Schedule

Exam Keys

Policies – You must have a C- or better from Chem 3311.   There will be a total of 550 points.  There will be three hour-exams worth 100 points and a final exam worth 200 points.  There will be no makeup exams.  If you miss an exam, the remaining exams will be weighted more heavily.  You can only miss an exam due to medical issues, which must be documented and conveyed to me.   Homework problems will be assigned from the textbook, but will not be collected or graded.  If you feel that an exam problem has been misgraded, please write me a note explaining your concerns and return the test to me for a regrade.  The last 50 points will be based upon your performance in recitation; therefore, you must attend your assigned recitation section.

Dropping the Course: After the drop date, if you want to take an incomplete or withdraw from the course, you must have a note from either a doctor or the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Exams:  Will be given on the following Thursdays  at 7:00 pm.  This is the only time that the exams will be given.  The exam dates are SEPT 24, OCT 22 & NOV 19.

Prerequisites: You must have completed either Chem 1131, 1171 or Chen 1211 with a C- or better. You can not take the prerequisite course concurrently.

Laboratory: You must take the laboratory Chem 3321 concurrently with the class. If you do not, you will be dropped from the lecture.

Students and faculty each have responsibility for maintaining an appropriate learning environment. Those who fail to adhere to such behavioral standards may be subject to discipline. Class rosters are provided to the instructor with the student's legal name. I will gladly honor your request to address you by an alternate name or gender pronoun. Please advise me of this preference early in the semester so that I may make appropriate changes to my records.
