Overview of the CU Organic Chemistry Course Offerings

this page last modified

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers four lecture and four laboratory courses in 3000-level organic chemistry.

Co-requisites

You are required to take lecture and lab at the same time: if you are enrolled in Chem 3311, you must also be enrolled in either Chem 3321 or 3361, and so on. If the department finds out that you are not enrolled in lecture and lab, you might be administratively dropped from your course. Exceptions are made in extreme cases; these exceptions must be approved by a faculty member.

Pre-requisites

You must have passed with a grade of C- or better Chem 1131, 1171, or the equivalent from another university before you enroll in chem 3311 or 3351. To enroll in Chem 3331 or 3371, you must have passed with a grade of C- or better Chem 3311, 3351, or the equivalent. You might be administratively dropped if you do not meet these prerequisites; exceptions must be approved by a faculty member.
