Spatulas come in many sizes and shapes. Many student lab drawers still have the large wooden-handle variety, some have the smaller all-metal type. Feel free to trade at any time for a different type.

Spatulas are used for transferring solids: to a weigh paper for weighing, to a coverslip for melting point, scraping out of a flask or beaker to a watch glass, etc.

Location: Student lab drawer equipment. Feel free to exchange yours with another type at the cart in the front of the stockroom.

Cost: $5.30. Currently, management is not charging for spatulas, because so many of them are quite old and, frankly, are not worth $5.30. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time.
